OPENFOAM VALIDATION CASES
3D dam-break simulation
In this case, we compare the numerical results obtained with OpenFOAM, against the experimental results obtained by the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN).
The case available for download is set with a coarse mesh. The results shown in the image below and the animations, were obtained using approximately 10 million cells.
