Advanced solid modeling for General CFD

 

 

 

In this advanced training, we address solid modeling for general CFD, everything done using open source technology

During this course, we made efficient use of the solid modeling applications SALOME and Onshape, and we show how to use these applications to generate clean geometries to be used with any CFD solver (including OpenFOAM®) or any other mesher.

Scripting in SALOME

Geometry cleaning using SALOME

Advanced solid modeling using Onshape

Importing and exporting CAD formats in Onshape

Direct manipulation of imported geometries

Agile product design using Onshape

Parts drawings in Onshape

 

This course is offered in cooperation with the University of Genova. The fee includes the printed material and a USB key with the supporting material. Attendees are not required to bring their own laptop since workstations with pre-installed software will be available.

Teaching method:  lectures and hands-on sessions to validate the acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.
